I am excited to join a wonderful and diverse group of folks for a workshop at Boston University on September 16-17.
Michael Pregill, the Interlocutor for the exciting digital initiative Mizan project (Institute for the Study of Muslim Societies and Civilizations, BU’s Frederick S. Pardee School of Global Studies) has convened us for an event, Activism, Advocacy, and Scholarship on Islam in the Digital Realm: Prospects, Progress, and Challenges.
Participants include Su’ad Abdul Khabeer, Paul Beran, Khalid Beydoun, Mia Bloom, Todd Green, Zareena Grewal, Bassam Haddad, Namira Islam, Maryam Jamshidi, A. David Lewis, Matthew Miller, Elias Muhanna, Intisar Rabb, Hussein Rashid, Krista Riley, Maxim Romanov, Claire Sadar, and Sabine Schmidtke.
I’ll be discussing new forms of scholarly conversations and the new DeGruyter Introductions to Digital Humanities: Religion Series that I am editing.
