My review of Mehdi Aminrazavi’s edited collection Sufism and American Literary Masters is now available for the Journal of Sufi Studies. Here is a preview:

Overall, the collection is a success and provides a comprehensive and multi-pronged introduction to many of the major characters and key themes in the study of American literary engagement with Sufi texts and concepts. Throughout the volume lots of primary sources are included, both translations from Islamic texts and English compositions, which makes it useful for future research or use when teaching students.
